Can you send me your catalog?

No, since 1996 we have our on-line catalog we do not publish a paper catalog. You can print the pages from our website. Prices and equipment change so often that a published catalog is outdated before we print it. Today all brands have their own websites where you can find more information.

Do your scanners cover the mobile telephone range?

Yes, in The Netherlands receiving everything is legal. So a full-band scanner is really full- band. But keep in mind a normal scanner can not handle digital phones like DECT and GSM. Scanners that can handle Digital phones are very expensive and most of the time only available for goverment agency's.
We do not sell blocked scanners.

Do you ship to USA often?

Yes we do. Because our scanners are full-band and we do not charge tax, we have some of the best prices you can find on the web. We also have a good reputation. We've been in business since 1974, so you know  you're dealing with professionals. On the internet we sell our products since 1996.

What's the best way to have my order shipped: via TNT priority post or DHL?

DHL is the most secure method of shipping because the package can be tracked. In addition, if an order is sent via DHL and you're not completely satisfied with it, we offer a money back guarantee. CB Shop does not, however, guarantee orders shipped via regular post because there is no way to track parcels from one country to another. Therefore, DHL is the safest way to have your order shipped. With our Royal Dutch Mail (TNT) the parcel is at least 7 work on it is way to you. Since 2001 we do not have any problems with shiping with TNT, so if you want the parcel shipped on a cheap way it is still a good alternative.See also our shipping page.

Do you test equipment before you ship?

Yes, we do. Even when you buy our cheapest CB in our store, we test it before we fill out the warranty form.

Is a 110 volt charger included with the scanner?

No, we sell EU legal scanners (otherwise the scanners would be blocked) In Europe we use 220/230 volt, in the USA 110 volt is used. So the charger we have will not work at all. A 110 volt is not supplied, so we can not help you with this. But in all kind of shops in your neighborhood you can buy a 110 volt charger.

What is the best scanner for me?

That's a hard question. If you are looking for a portable scanner with many features, the AR 8200 version 3 may be a good choice for you. The Yupiteru 9000 Mark 2 is also among the top range products, as is the ICOM R20. If you want a great full-band scanner for a great price, the Bearcat is your best bet. As for base scanners, the AOR 8600 mark II and 5000 are the most popular but also the most expensive. Now the Bearcat Trunking 785 XLT is unblocked available, so this is a great scanner for a good price.

What is the best CB?

If you want a mobile CB with lots of options, the amateur model Cobra 200 is a good way to go.  The President George is another option, especially when used in an area in which all-band CBs are prohibited. It has special modes for Cept, All-band, and anti-theft. The President products all come with a two-year warranty. Another brand that we recommend are Intek and Midland / Alan.

If I don't have a credit card, how can I order your products?

If you don't have a credit card, just fax or e-mail us your order and then wire the money directly to our CB Shop bank account. Once we have the order and the funds, we will send your shipment immediately. As a reputable company with a history of excellence, you can rest assured that such a transaction with CB Shop is a safe alternative to credit card purchases. With our new online shop You have more options to order besides credit card. PAY PAL is also an option .

I want a schematic for my scanner or CB. Can you provide this?

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide schematics. If a brand does not provide a schema with its manual, that generally means that this is not public information. The schematics used by CB Shop are usually sold to us with the restriction that we are not allowed to provide them to others. Thus, your best course of action in obtaining a schema is to contact the manufacturer directly. (CB Shop can often provide manuals, but there is a charge for this service.)

What if the product I have purchased breaks during the warranty period?

Provided that the product has not been tampered with or misused in any way, CB Shop will repair or replace it at no additional charge. You are only responsible for the shipping cost of sending it to us.  Once we have repaired or replaced the product, we will return it to you

I sent you a fax requesting more information, but I didn't receive a response. Why?

We apologize for any miscommunication. We value your business, and it is our intention to respond quickly to all customer inquiries. However, due to the vast number of orders we receive via fax, we ask that questions and requests for information be sent by e-mail. Our order and shipping departments simply do not have the time to respond to questions sent by fax. E-mail is therefore the best and least expensive way for you to contact us with your questions. You may also contact us by phone during our regular business hours. We are able to assist you in English, German, and Dutch. Upon special request, we can also help you in Russian and Czech.

All non online orders should be sent by fax, however, with an e-mail address and/or telephone number included should we need to contact you for any reason.

Why didn't CB Shop accept my order?

CB Shop earned its outstanding reputation in the business by providing quality products and exceptional customer service. In order to preserve this reputation, we review every order very carefully to ensure the validity of the information. Should we have any questions about that or should the credit card company deny authorization, we will not accept the order.  (Please note that the credit card companies have informed us that if they suspect foul play, they will pursue a criminal investigation.)
In general, you can expect order authorization from your credit card company within 24 hours. Once we have the authorization, we will ship the product immediately. We will also let you know when the order has been shipped. We always appreciate hearing from you once you have received your order.

Do you service all products?

Because we cannot guarantee the quality of products purchased elsewhere, we only service products purchased from CB Shop.

Do you provide modifications to all products?

We only provide modifications to products purchased from CB Shop.

Can you ship me a CB Base antenna?

Outside the Netherlands, the cost is prohibitive because of the size of the package.  The shipping is more expensive than the antenna. So the answer is yes, but we advise you to look for one in your own country.
